These are pictures of Annie post surgery. Its hard to see her incision, but you can see her belly!! You can see Xena snuggling up to her in some of the pics! She's recovering right now, but having several complicated issues post emergency surgery on Christmas night! We are THANKFUL she is alive, but infection is a major thing right now. She is back on a second round of Antibiotics for the pilohysterectomy. She is still having problems with the infection from the hyst, Dr Pat is hoping the 2nd round of Antibiotics will clear it up. If not, not sure what next step is maybe another surgery! PLus she is also suffering from bladder and kidney infection secondary due to the enlarged uterus pressing against her bladder and kidney causing her problems with elimination. She has also been on antibiotics for that but had to stop those to restart the antibiotics for the infection from the surgery is more critical. Keep the prayers coming.... Annie is in great spirits and as of Saturday the bleeding has stopped. Hoping this is a GOOD sign!!
This pic was taken about 2 weeks after surgery. Yoda was worried about her and was sleeping near her also! Annie had her nesting area and her toys "babies" around her. This was when her postpartum depression was bad!
These were taken this past week. Annie and Xena snuggling up together. Xena just loves Annie and loves being near her and playing with Annie. Things are a little better around here, she's still on antibiotics for the infection from surgery, but her spirits are up and feeling better! Keeping our fingers crossed that she will heal soon! We came to close to losing her Christmas night and this infection is serious and we are not out of the woods yet!
